I should really have titled this one ‘The Things That Are Getting Me Through the Last 6 Weeks’ but it just didn’t have the same ring to it.
The first few months of a new year always take a little getting used to. Restarting the cycle again tends to throw us all off a little especially with the anti-climax that January and early February brings after the madness of Christmas. Suddenly everyone is broke, tired and the first few weekends are dedicated to a lot of chilling and life admin. At this time of the year I think it’s more important than ever to surround yourself with all of the happiness that you possibly can. That means on a superficial level in terms of how you dress yourself every day, the purchases you make and the Instagram profiles you love to trawl so much. It’s also the things and the people you decide to surround yourself with and invest your time in.
Self-care has never been more of a trend than it is right now as we fight off winter blues and power through to reach ultimate positivity. These are the clothes, products and resources getting me through this month.
Ever since the Christmas holidays left us, I can’t tear myself away from warm and cosy things. If you follow my blog regularly you’ll have picked up on this in a few posts. I dedicated an entire post to keeping cosy in January and I’ve definitely mentioned my love of jumpers and jumper dresses this winter on several occasions. Not to sound like a broken record, but not a lot of that has changed in terms of the fashion I’ve been obsessing over the last few months.
Jeans and jumper combos, similar to this look are my staple outfits at the moment. They’re so easy and not to mention comfortable. Recently, my Mum did a clear out of her AMAZING wardrobe and I wish you all could have seen my face when she handed me a pile of jumpers that she didn’t want anymore. Trust me, hand me downs have never looked so chic. This jumper was one of said hand me downs.
Other than jumpers, my wardrobe wishlist is ever growing, particularly as the new season approaches. These are a few of the items I’m dying to get my hands on.
