REVIEW: The Lusso Tan Range

It’s no secret that life is just that little bit better when you have a tan. Unfortunately for those of us that live in Northern Ireland, we aren’t given too many opportunities to top up or even develop a tan in the first place which explains why so many of us Northern Irish girls can’t get enough of the fake stuff.

You may have seen my previous blog post about The Secret Day Spa and how much I enjoyed myself there. (If not, you can read all about it here.) So taking into account my new found love for Belmont Road’s The Secret Day Spa, along with what seems to be a never ending love affair with fake tan, you can imagine my excitement when I heard that they were planning to release their own range of self tanning products. I’m also lucky enough to be involved in the social media aspect of the products and their release meaning that I will be creating and managing the social media platforms for The Lusso Tan range so make sure you check back here for all of the social media links surrounding the products so that you can stay up to date with all of The Lusso Tan’s latest news.

Although The Lusso Tan products aren’t available for purchase in bottled form as of yet, the lovey girls at The Secret Day Spa were kind enough to let me give the product a whirl in form of a spray tan. I hadn’t had a spray tan in about two years and I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed having one. When you’re in and out of there in about 10 minutes, leaving with a perfectly, even, mediterranean glow, what’s not to love?!

I’ve tried and tested a lot of tanning products over the last few years and had many a tanning trauma (we won’t go there just yet…) but in all honesty, I couldn’t have been more impressed with the results from my Lusso Tan spray tan.

There’s always a slight sense of apprehension that comes with having a spray tan, although much less nerves than there are when you’re left to your own devices, armed with a dodgy mitt, doing it yourself at home. We’ve all witnessed a fake tan disaster or two in our time and I think it’s pretty safe to say that it isn’t pretty. I decided to go for the medium shade as I have slightly olivey skin naturally and I didn’t want to go too dark with it being the first time that I had used the product. From the second that I left the shop I was very impressed with the shade outcome and how even the tan had gone onto my skin but I will admit that come bed time, those usual fake tan nerves crept in as I wondered how the colour would develop overnight. Turns out that I had absolutely nothing to worry about! I woke up looking like I’d just been sunbathing in Italy for the last week or two and the tan was so even that it really could have passed for being a natural tan – exactly the outcome that you want from a self tanning product. The best part was, the product maintained this shade for the next 7-10 days.

One of the best features of The Lusso Tan range is that it is created by spa therapists which means that the skincare offered by the products really is next level. They are created with organic products and are overflowing with hydration to nourish skin. It’s clear that the range was designed primarily with the customer in mind. No shortcuts were taken in the customer care aspect of the product during The Lusso Tan range’s creation and development, ensuring that the customer’s skin is well looked after as well as making sure that the tan creates the perfect, healthy glow.

The products range from lotions to primers and exfoliators, all of which are designed to compliment each other.
