Naturally I have very dark hair but over the last year or two I decided it was time for a change and started bleaching it in order to achieve an ombré look. I love having blonde bits in hair to brighten it up but due to the contrast between the dark roots and the blonde ends, I find that parts of my hair can be left looking very ginger with much more brassier tones than I would like. A friend of mine who had a similar problem recommended the PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver range so I decided to try out the Brightening Shampoo along with the Intensive Conditioner.
One of the many good things about this shampoo is that because it is so pigmented, a little goes a long way which is good news especially when you’re a student being haunted by a budget.
After the first wash, although I didn’t notice a huge difference to the colour of my hair, there was a noticeable improvement to the condition of my hair and it was left feeling smooth and silky and looking much glossier than usual. This convinced me enough to continue using this product and seeing what difference a few more uses of the shampoo and conditioner could do. As I had hoped, following a few more washes, the blonde in my hair appeared brighter and healthier than ever.
In between use of the Touch of Silver shampoo I used Elvive Nutrigloss Luminzer Shampoo to try and maintain the glossy look achieved from regular use of the Touch of Silver shampoo which truthfully, I found hard to beat.
This is a product I will definitely continue to use and at £3 for 150ml in Sainsbury’s, it’s worth trying out for yourself.
